The information you provide is inadequate. 

What were you trying to do? If the error happened while booting, is it
possible to note down the last messages (if any) you see on the screen? 

Also, there is a specialised web forum - UbuntuForums.org where you
can ask Ubuntu specific info. This, because you do not seem to have
problems with Fedora.

Since you seem to have a working Fedora install, is it possible to get
output of the lspci command from that?
