Nice to see a viabrant linux community in delhi. I had subscribed a few
days back. it's fun reading them. I was trying to figure out who is who
in the mailing group. Wipro guy help me get an inturnship. I hear wipro
is working for sun in the gnome 2 project. Patch me in there

Yeah enough of introduction. Listen I was wondering if we could localise
linux. A Hindi version or a bengali version would be great . I know a
hindi localisation project(gnome) is going on. I am more interested in
bangla. I would love it if someone explained to me how po files work.
also known as pot files the thing we smoke up. No seriously how can I
make a bangla version of gnome. What are the steps. How does pango
render localised fonts. and how can major projects like balsa be
localised. I am sure my ma will be mighty happy if she seens the screen
in bangla.
