windows fdisk doesn't show them. Also i wrote in my last mail that when i tried installing redhat 7.1 (PCQ), it says partition table corrupt, needs to be intialised (so i stopped, to avoid losing what remains) >NDD will most probably detect your lost partition and prompt you for >recovery. >If it doesnt, then stop NDD right there...do not repair anything. >Download DMS partition manager and run Disk recovery. It can recover all >kinds of partitions that were recongnizable till win95. i would try NDD today, but didn't find DMS partition manager anywhere to download. >Partitions later than ext2 are not recognized by DMS. >Also note that DMS is a command line utility and **MUST** carefully read >the >documentaiton before u try any stunts on your Hard Disk. > >If still you are unable to recover your partitons then, backup your win98 >data into some other hdd, remove your win98 partition(s) and then again try >NDD(then DMS) again. since its my home PC, i dont have much (or anything) to backup, but how does removing win98 partitions help NDD or DMS? _______ deepak _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ================================================ To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in subject header.
