windows fdisk doesn't show them. Also i wrote in my last mail that when i 
tried installing redhat 7.1 (PCQ), it says partition table corrupt, needs to 
be intialised (so i stopped, to avoid losing what remains)

i would try NDD today, but didn't find DMS partition manager anywhere to 
download.

since its my home PC, i dont have much (or anything) to backup, but how does 
removing win98 partitions help NDD or DMS?
