dropped in at the macdonald's punjabi bagh outlet a few daze ago.
discovered samsung had a promo corner on the first floor,
trying to entice customers to play with their new samsung pc with dvd combo
drive, digital camera, etc etc.
"nice box!" i said, "what does it run?"
"sir, this is genuine and original windoze XP sir, no piracy, and the price
includes its cost." sang the salesguy.
"cool. but suppose i wanna buy this with gnulinux?" i asked.
the guy looked perplexed.
"er... linux" i said, " Lie-nucks?"
"You can install whatever you want, sir" he said.
"no no, i do not want winxp, only linux on this machine"
"sorry sir, this machine ships with only windowsXP pre-installed."
sigh! i just gave up. would be easier to expect macdonald's to sell laccha
parathas+daal makhani+and malai kofta, i thought.
unless . . . the ilugd guyz go knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door.
