perhaps the prob. is that Linux takes space in the power of 2, so a 14 Gb Hd
can provide a Min. space of 2 GB & Max space of 8 GB.Now it all depends on
ur conguration...

  When I mounted a Windows partition to linux with the
help of smbmount command of samba. The size of the
file is not showing Correctly. Means it shows 14 Gb in
windows but in linux it's shows only 1.9 Gb.
 
 What can be the problem. Please help me ASAP.
