Hi folks, Am having some trouble with 'sendmail'. In my current configuration I have removed 'sendmail' from 'init'.
Instead, I create the mail-queue using 'mutt', and then invoke 'sendmail' as 'sendmail -q'. Works fine, but some remote-hosts insist on 'routing-back' to localhost ... which they obviously cannot since localhost is behind an ISP. I cannot relay my mails while using the MTNL connection (I dunno why) via my e-mail account on VSNL ... using the KMail program. So, the query for all mail-dudes out there is that "Can sendmail be configured to automatically relay mails to an SMTP server if the remote-hosts insist on routing back to localhost ???" Otherwise, I have to 'paste' my mails into new ones using KMail and connect to VSNL to use their SMTP server to resend mails which couldnt be due to the problem. For eg. I am currently unable to send mails to ilugd using 'sendmail' ... have to use KMail / VSNL combination ... but want to use 'mutt/sendmail/MTNL' combination. Any solutions ? Regards, Gags. ================================================ To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in subject header.
