Thank you all for your replies.
I have been to Java/J2EE Technology for more than 5 years now. So I 
prefer those at present. I hopt it wont make much problem to install 
and practise those. 

I got a CD Knoppix and had a first look and feel  of Linux. It 
impressed me a lot. Moreover it is free of cost. So I decided to learn 
Linux and switch completely with in short period of time.
