Hi all,
Right now I am using Sify broadband Internet connection,
and their 256 kbps maximum bandwidth limit is too restrictive for
me. Thinking of switching to some ISP with at least 1 Mbps (2 Mbps
preferably). My big concern is that the ISP should support Linux*. (I
run Kubuntu 6.06 Dapper.) Cost is not a very big constraint for
me. Which ISP do you recommend?
Thanks in advance,
Kannan

Sify does support Linux: they have a very old version of their dialer
that works on Linux. But it has lot of usability issues. I used
EasySify (an open source dialer for Sify written in Visual Basic) to
understand how their login process works and wrote a Python dialer
which makes my life easy. If anyone using Sify is interested, I can
give more details.
