Total cost about $700 (I don't have Apple Care) ===================================================== I bought apple care for my iMac about when it was about 11 months old. In my view, it's not only the original cost of the iMac you've got invested, it's also the cost of any software you bought to go with it. If you buy another platform that's incompatible with the Mac software, then your loss is that much higher. If your iMac is still pretty new (less than a year old) then I would wait until the end of the year to buy the apple care plan. I had to use it on mine just a few weeks after the initial warranty expiration date. (Whew!) -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
