AppleCare is a great option. For an iMac, $149 for two more years of
hardware and labor? Virtually any hardware failure will cost at least
that much, if not more. Comprehensive insurance for your care,
homeowner's/renter's insurance.... why not for your computer? I
strongly urge AppleCare plans for portable owners, as many repairs
can easily top $1000.... but it's a very good value for an iMac too.
You also get free access to AppleCare phone support for the duration.
