Hi, I subscribed to this list a few months ago, and when I joined in,there was a talk about CRT failures in older iMacs (Rev. A-D). I tried searching the archives of the mailing list, but I didn't find anything about it. My iMac's screen has had a strange behavior lately and I was wondering if it was one of the symptoms. Every once in a while, some black lines will appear in the left of the screen. It only lasts less than a second, but it does make some sort of electric noise. Also, once the screen goes black when I'm not using it, the screen will also make some electric noises for a few seconds. I called the only Mac retailer we have here (I live in Chicoutimi, a place lost in the middle of Quebec) and they never heard of the iMacs CRT failure.
