Josh, I am running VPC 3.0.3 on an iMac DV SE which is running OS 9.2.2 without problems. I started using 3.0.3 under OS 9.0 and gradually upgraded the OS to 9.2.2. Of course, this is a G3 iMac. The FP is a G4. Isn't there a new version of VPC that is written for the G4 and AltiVec (VPC 5 maybe?)? If you haven't yet, check with Connectix to see if 3.0.3 is compatible with the G4s.
I've searched the Apple Knowledge Base, and can't find any reference to a Type 7 memory error. What specifically does the error window say? This version of VPC seemed to run flawlessly on my old iMac (Rev D with OS 9.1) but constantly crashes on OS 9.2.2. Does anyone out there run VPC 3.0 on OS 9.2.2 successfully? I'm getting Type 7 memory errors, but that doesn't tell me much. I have 180MB dedicated to VPC and it's running Win95 with nothing loaded at the moment (just barebones Windows).
