Tried that. I guess I am not willing to go to new systems knowing full well they are very buggy. Netscape for example screws up (4.79) regularly going say from Appleworks 5 to using the internet, ie shutting one program down completely, then starting another program say Appleworks freexes the entire iMac. And when I say freeze I mean nothing works, not keyboard mouse, nothing. So push the little button on the side of the iMac. I saved all the files on a CD rom, wiped the h arddrive and started again week ago. No difference. Which is why one Mac person (and now two) have suggested the logic board has a componet in it that is flaky. Kicker here is no matter what I replace the iMac with, it is sort of expected one will use all new software and the dreaded OSX which still really doesn't know what it is or where it is going... -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
