Hello

I have a rev.B iMac. My goal was to upgrade to OS9 from 8.6. The installer
said I needed to update the Firmware. I followed the instructions regarding
the Firmware (boot up while pushing programmer button) and the progress bar
was visible on the screen. After that Enothing. I cannot boot from the
Restore disc. The fan and the light on the front of the monitor come on,
but nothing else seems to function. The screen is blank.

Existing information on the Internet leads me to believe that my Boot ROM
may be corrupted. Does that sound right? What is the solution? Suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

Dan
