>One of the reviews I recently read on the "eMac" made mention of it >sitting rather low and that unless you were a child or a small adult >that it really needed the "eMac Tilt and Swivel Stand". So, how low >is the bottom edge of the display if you're NOT using the stand? > About 4 inches. My problem was the CD tray bumping into my keyboard (I have my keyboard propped up higher than designed -- I'm still used to the angle of my old one).
>I think Apple makes great products, but 60 bucks for a monitor stand >is ridiculous, no matter how cool it looks. Does anyone know of a >less expensive alternative to the "eMac Tilt and Swivel Stand"? I have a boxy metal monitor stand with a keyboard drawer underneath, for about $15. Seems a bit expensive, but it's more than sturdy enough for this 50-pound machine. It doesn't tilt, but I don't need it to. The eMac doesn't have rubber feet, so it turns quite easily, though. -- http://www.zirconia3.com "Kiln's ready, Mr. Eastwood." "Go ahead...
