Believe me, if there are folks complaining on the discussion groups I mentioned (as well as the number of folks on this list that have already chimed in to share their own frustration with Macs -- the computer for the rest of us), there are a zillion people who just struggle alone and don't write this or any other list or call apple or etc., etc. I believe, though that you are absolutely right and that your knowledge of macs and the trouble people have far exceeds mine (i'm just a poor state university employee in a state which is apparently going broke when it comes to spending money on social programs but is just fine when building new football and baseball stadiums). But...
