A friend of mine has a PC with MacLan (appletalk), an old powermac w/OS 9, and an iMac with 10.2.3. Previously when the iMac had 10.2.2, he was able to mount the hard drives from the old powermac, and the PC, on his iMac. Now, neither of them will mount - they say they are mounting, but no drives appear on the desktop as they once did. Even tried mounting the PC's HD via Samba rather than appletalk, that didn't work either. It gave a different error message though. I think it was "error -36", whatever that means!
Is it widely known that 10.2.3 is buggy in regard to drive sharing over LANs? Is there anything that can be done? -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
