Well, being interested in music piracy kind of *is* a dark side ;), but as mentioned in another response, there is software to access gnutella, which is an Internet protocol for ptp (peer- to- peer) file sharing. In other words, it doesn't "belong" to windoze. There's software on Mac, windoze, Linux, etc. to access the network with anyone else, regardless of their platform. Try versiontracker.com (under Mac OS) and look for "gnutella". You'll find a few clients, no doubt.
