To be honest, it is such a long time since I had that problem that I'm no longer sure which was the crucial extension. My wife's iMac is sleeping fine, and the Multiple Users CP is off. On reflection, maybe it was the Multiprocessing folder in the Extension folder. Sorry about the muck-up. I had disabled it thinking that since I had just a single CPU I wouldn't need it. Apple Knowledge Base should have an article about sleep problems in iMacs.
