I posted this to the yahoo iMac list, but didn't get any responses. I
apologize if you've received this message twice, but I can't seem to
find any information on it (maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? heh).

Can anyone shed some light on this, for me? This has happened a few
times to me, and it's beginning to worry me a bit!

Last night I went to shut down my machine, all went well except right
when it's about to turn off, a bright blue screen (like loading up
colour) appears with a bunch of stuff I don't understand. The machine
then stops working, and I have to turn it off by holding down the button
at the back.
I wrote down a bit of what it says, so here goes:
Unresolved Kernel trap -->numbers and gibberish
Latest crash info for CPU 0 -->Gibberish
Backtrace -->Gibberish
Kernel loadable modules in backtrace: com.apple.iokit yadda yadda yadda
proceeding back via exception chain
exception state
previously dumped as "latest" state

kernel version:
darwin kernel version 5.5

I wrote a bit more down, but don't want to type it if it's of no use.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

Sarah (flat panel iMac, OSX.1.5)
