Recently, I have lost my cable modem connection several times (i.e. cannot get mail or load web pages) and have been instructed by my ISP to restart my mac. After that, I usually get my connection back.
I'm just wondering why this is necessary ? I have been able to go for months at a time without losing my connection or having to restart so what does restarting the computer actually do for the connection ?
