Sounds like you have taken all the appropriate precautions in backing 
up your important files. Assuming your 9.2 is the full install version, 
it should install just fine. It will tell you, if it detects a problem 
that prevents it from installing, with an alert box.

I would suggest you select the option for a "clean install", but that 
is not mandatory. The worst case if it causes problems is you 
re-install your original system. Based on my experiences you have a 
99.999% likelihood of everything working just fine.
