Yup. I have a dual boot capable MDD and I have them both on my 
computer. If I am booted into 9 it uses AW 6.2.5. When I am in 10.2.8 
it uses AW 6.2.7. There are no apparent conflicts of any kind and the 
OS uses the appropriate version. It automatically put 6.2.7 in the X 
applications folder and 6.2.5 in OS 9 applications folder.

Now if I find a 6.2.5 version (and I suspect it is only on the master
install disc)will programs which I have saved under OS9.2, using
6.2.7, will these programs be backwards compatible and moreso
how does one  make sure the iBook doesn't go searching for AW 6.2.7?
Don't know? My MDD did not come with AW so I used an earlier version of 
AW 6 that came with junior grade daughters Summer 2001 iMac then 
downloaded the two updates from Apple's web site. Worked fine.

 If am in OS9.2 does the computer go searching in OS X for the program 
or
does it go searching in 9?
OS 9 looks in the OS 9 applications and system folders. It ignores the 
OS X files. Be aware though that when you are in OS 9 everything is 
available to you if you root around the hard drive. Be sure of anything 
you delete, as one can screw the Mac up to a fare thee well by 
inadvertently deleting files that belong to OS X, and Root would 
prevent you from deleting whenbooted into X.

IN any event shall try and do a download of 6.2.Five...
If you have any earlier version of AW? Install that then download the 
update. Should work fine.

And to chagrin of others I am posting this to both the iMac and 
MacCanada
lists...some may see the reply
one place, some may not see it in the other place...
Nah. Everyone from MacCanada is glued to the telly watching the girls 
play China. There'll be no confusion. <G>
