Hola, is panhter design for G4's and G5's? and will it run better than Jag on the G3's???

I don't think the OS is particularly "designed" for one chip over the other. It works best with both G4s and G5s, but runs very well on G3s too!

I can assure you that it does indeed run better than Jag on G3s, even those G3 machines that don't have high-end video cards (like the CRT iMacs). Lots of RAM is the key.

i own a graphite 600mhz. 40Gb. 256Mb. OS10.2.8 imac, and wondering if
is it worth the jump from jag. to panter

Yes it is. The extra speed is worth every penny, and there are many nice new features beyond that. This is said as someone who did NOT think the improvements in Jag were worth $129 over the previous version. This time, it's worth the money.

, when i was the happy owner of
a 266mhz bondy blue imac 320mb. 9.1 and jumped to jaguar, it became
slugish and very slow, this was the reason i changed the computer, this
time i am very happy with mi sistem and would like to keepit, so what
is the thing to do stay with 10.2 or recomend the transsition to 10.3???
Gracias.

I would definitely up the memory in your 600MHz machine to 512MB at least. OS X loves RAM. I have run the WWDC version of Panther on a 700MHz G3 and it's QUITE a bit faster than Jag.

TIME: The people at Listen.com say downloading isn't the most popular feature on their music service, Rhapsody. What's your response?

JOBS: Well, that's correct. Downloading sucks on their service! You download a track and you can't burn it to a CD without paying them more money -- you can't put it on your MP3 player, you can't put it on multiple computers -- it sucks! So of course nobody downloads! You pay extra to download even on top of subscription fees. No wonder they have hardly any download traffic -- they hardly even have any subscribers!
