I am getting my parents into the computer age this Christmas with an eMac and a printer.
I know that it will be starting life as a glorified typewriter via Appleworks and as such I am wondering what are some good AW related or specialized book titles for a newbie that would explain very clearly, with pictures if possible, basic AW word processing? Any books covering the rest of the computer would be great also but I am starting with what I know it will be used for first and plan to expand later.
I am not able to be there in person a lot of the time due to the distance that separates us and am hoping to use the books to help ease the transition into the computer age with small, manageable steps. Not to mention just to have a handy reference around.
I don't want to scare them off just yet! We'll be expanding slowly beyond the word processor as time goes by, maybe even getting online!
