If I recall right, there is a maintenance program called 'Xupport' available via Macupdate/Versiontracker that has a tab in it saying 'man'. It lists where the manuals are inside OS X and also lists (at the bottom of that pane) some of the commonest error codes. Maybe you'll find your answer there.
I haven't got it with me now but it's worth a shot.
