One of my daughters would like to have mail appear in a larger
font. She has adjusted the resolution down in order to achieve
this. I, of course, said that the right thing to do was to
leave the resolution alone and adjust the font. This *is*
a Mac, right?

Imagine my suprise to find that I could adjust the font to
my heart's content and the displayed messages didn't change.
I suspect this is because they are RTF or PDQ or KKK or
some other miserable non-plaintext thing. Note: they are
not PDFs or JPGs or something like that--just something with
some embedded formatting stuff. Is there a way
to tell the Mail app to disregard internal message formats
and just display with a larger font?

Thanks for any suggestions.
