In the early days of Jugwire, I was unable to use Mozilla as my preferred browser. The *only* way I could get it to work was to evict Inyerneck Exploder from my disk completely. Even from the trash it insisted on infecting my browsing experience. I haven't felt the need to restore it ever since.

2) All browsers will, without apparent cause, open in a significantly reduced window after opening full screen forever. I use Netscape 7.1, Explorer 5.2.3, and Safari 1.0.1.

Can't address #2, but I can suggest Mozilla in preference to Netscape.
Safari seems to be okay as a backup browser--everything that doesn't
work in Mozilla seems to work in it. (Note: it's probably fine as
a primary browser, too, but I can use Mozilla on a variety of platforms).
