I also read where 10.3 might lose my info on a Hard Drive with a Oxford Chip in it. I am downloading 10.3.2. I have a 10 meg HD with all my OS 9 stuff on it. This in a little case from OWC with an Oxford Chip bridge. Once 10.3.2 is loaded is it then safe to connect the fire wire Oxford Chip Hard Disk and use it ? Thanks for the info. Geoff
That was a problem with FW800 drives and the Oxford chips. Either way, 10.3.2 fixes things. FWIW, I have a portable drive in OWC case and two different FW desktop drives and they all worked fine without any firmware upgrades on both my TiBook and my wife's Pismo.
