First, stop looking on ebay. That's a really great way to get screwed, because neither you nor they can assure you that you're getting the right RAM, and most people on ebay are not going to give you a refund if it isn't the right kind. From: Metaphor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I am looking on eBay for this memory and none of them say which is compatible with the Mac. Does it matter if it's for Mac or PC? Here's an example of an eBay listing that I was looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3456353201
There's a really simple way of locating the right RAM for your Mac. Visit either dealram.com or ramseeker.com, look up the model of Mac you use, compare prices and reputations, and buy what seems to you to be the best cross of price vs. reputable dealer.
As it happens, all G3 iBooks use the same RAM: 144-pin PC100 or PC133 (doesn't matter) SO-DIMMs. It's a much better idea to buy from dealers who know Macs (like Crucial or 1-800-4-MEMORY) to be sure that you get a stick of the proper QUALITY for your machine -- Macs are pickier than PCs when it comes to RAM.
