I went to a powerbook as my main work computer (and home) 7 years ago when the Kanga came out, then to a TiPB 500Mhz and now to the 15in AlPB.

My answer is nothing

It does everything I need and keeps it all in one place when I travel.
Bad news--I work more at home. Good news--I don't "have" to gpo to the office.
I run MS Office, Photoshop, Fileaker, Virtual PC, Indesign, toast etc. GoLive, Final Cut Pro, and all the other iLife stuff as well as Adobe Acrobat, I have made DVDs CDs. I am not a "graphics" or "multimedia pro" so that might make a difference.

There are more powerful towers and they may be faster but until the G5 came out I never thought of a tower

I may buy a G5--just for fun but It will not replace this powerbook.

Here's a question that I hope generates some discussion. Would there
be a downside to getting a powerbook as your main or only computer?
What can you NOT do on a laptop that you CAN do on an eMac, iMac or
tower?
