I suspect that Garageband will have been optimised to take advantage of the AltiVec engine in the G4, so would expect it to perform acceptably. Charles, Martin, Mary, any of you guys know if any G4, eben a 350 will work with Garageband?
I've run Garageband on a G3/700 iMac w/576MB RAM and gotten up to five tracks to play before it bogs down. I should think that ANY G4 above 400MHz with a lot of RAM on board would be acceptable for at least that much.
