On a sadder note Disk Warrior was unable to fix the problem. I was able to mount the partition manually by making a dir /Volumes/broken and mounting disk2s10 to that so I could copy the music files that I had added since my last backup. I've totally given up on Norton and consider in very outdated. With BSD there is very little disk fragmentation anyway and Tech Tools and Disk Warrior are vastly superior. Now it's just a matter of determining which anti viral program I'll replace the Norton one with.
