Hi, I am having trouble burning cd's on my iMac9.2 from downloads! Not sure

1. Model of iMac?
2. Software involved?
3. "Downloads?" What do you mean by this? Data? Audio?
4. Procedure you are following?
5. Brand of CDs you are using?
6. What you have done to diagnose or troubleshoot the problem?
7. Success or failure of alternate methods?
8. Recent modifications (hardware, software) you may have made?
9. Other factors that could be affecting this (hurricane weather, frequent power outages/surges, etc)?
