They were the actual 9 disks. Not the restore. I was having a problem on a
older All In One I had purchased for $6 so in desperation I bought the OS disks. The problem was the RAM can become unseated.

Oh, then that is a corse of a different holor. Were the iMac disks actual OS 9.x disks or the software restore disks that Apple now uses instead?
