Try connecting with the terminal in OS X to the FTP host. Make sure that
your firewall is open for FTP access.

Open a terminal window.
cd to what ever directory you want to send files from.
Example (cd ~/Desktop) Then type: ftp (hostname), the hostname s/b
the ftp server your trying to connect too.
Should get a prompt for user name and passwd. Either log on as anonymous
or as user. For anonymous use your email address as the passwd. type: pwd
(will show your location, then cd to correct directory.
type ls -al (will list all files in directory)
use the command get to download and the command put to upload When you
have finished use the command quit or (CTRL-D).
