From: vwmail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> What are the best methods of getting the recorded audio into and copied to the iMac. Currently I am running a dual tape deck into the mic in on the side of the iMac.
I would STRONGLY recommend the use of the iMic ($40) from Griffin Technology instead of this method. You are introducing distortion and risking your sound card and motherboard using your present method.
I would suggest you look at Amadeus II (which I think is $25) and Sound Studio ($50).What would be a good cheap or free software package to use to record and mix the music to the hard drive? Most of the work will be 2=track remastering but there is some 8 track stuff and even a 1/2" 16 track reel of tape to remix.
