Geez Bryce... I've owned about 15-20 different Macs and still have most of them around even if mothballed. Right now, I have about 8 operational machines in house with various operating systems and various levels of use. In about 10+ years of using Apple machines going back to the 2c back in the mid/late 80s, I've never had a major board failure, or hardware failure that I can remember. Two hard drive failures I've had is because they just plain wore out. I recall nothing that can not be directly attributable to something really stupid I managed to do of my own ignorance. Ive regularly bought used machines that make it through school auctions (at least one of those outdoors in the rain) and numerous machines that were bulk stacked on skids as if they were a pile of boxes. I've moved machines with hard drives running... knowing that sooner or later that is going to bite me back. Our old Q900 is STILL in use right now as our family business computer. It runs 24/7 except for a 10 minute shut down to clear and purge Ram once each morning so that things stay stable. I'm sure the power company loves me for that one. Even that old abused 2c with its keyboard repaired, and re-repaired again and again (once an infant even hurled on it) still is workable last time I had it out of mothballs. I've never heard of the 'Mac from hell' kind of results you seem to be getting very much and my experience with Macs is a far cry the opposite direction from yours. I'd say you either have a voodoo curse on you, or you're simply the 'one in a million' exception. Don Thank you political extremists for arousing the wrath of those you oppose so fiercely so that so many voted in the last election. You have done the USA a great service by getting the quiet rational voters off their butts to vote... especially those in Ohio and Florida! -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
