Has anyone installed Tiger on a tray-loader that had had Panther on it? I hear it can be done on at least some unsupported machines without waiting for XPostFacto by pulling the HD & putting it in a firewire case. Some people say it's slow, others faster than Panther. (Of course, those two statements aren't mutually exclusive!!) Anyone here tried it yet and have any observations?

I'm interested not so much for the new features, but because when you're doing long-distance phone support it's very hard to remember what the previous OS had/didn't have relative to what you're running - I upgraded my father's 333 tray-loader from OS 9 to Panther for this reason, and so far the performance is acceptable (384MB RAM, used almost entirely for reading email via dial-up connection, with the very occasional web site visit).
