Thanks to all the people who responded with various suggestions to my
comment that I had not found any web design programs that I liked in OS X.
I should clarify that what I would be looking for in a web design program
would be something that is inexpensive and easy to use. My standard on this
is PageMill, currently available for about $5. It came with my iMac, it
gives me an overview of the site I am working on, it runs fine in Classic,
and it allows one to learn a lot about coding at one's own speed.
I have tried Freeway and Dreamweaver and don't see anything in them that
justifies the price for my required uses. We have GoLive, and I find it
bloated and buggy compared with PageMill.
For minor updates if I don't feel like starting Classic I have been using
Taco HTML Edit. Nvu shows promise but isn't all there yet.
If anyone has suggestions regarding other web design programs that are in
the free to $100 range, that is what I would be interested in.
thanks,
Beverly
