Seems like the switching the RAM trick worked! I used a friend's RAM
instead of the extra stick I had around here (which I've now found
out is bad) and it worked! Got past the Open Firmware password issue
completely. Thank you, thank you to everyone who helped. Now instead
of selling it for not much, I can fix it up for my mom and she'll
have a computer with Firewire for her iPod mini!
