Hi All,

I was trying to burn a DVD with MP3's on it for my friend. He has an
eMac 1GHZ and I have an iMac 1.25 GHZ. We both have superdrives, but
when I put the DVD+R in his drive, it spits it out. What I'm
wondering is that perhaps his drive doesnt support DVD+R? Is this
possible since they are both superdrives?

Well, I don't know the answer but the other day I was trying to copy
and burn a DVD+R on my Super drive but I couldn't.

When I put in the DVD+R for burning , it wasn't accepted and spit out.

Maybe somebody can tell us about DVD+R.

In general, and particularly for Mac owners, DVD+R sucks. Use DVD-R.

Before anyone jumps in to "correct" me, yes I know the newest Macs support DVD+R -- and that some older Mac model with Superdrives can be "hacked" to support +R, but it's just not worth it.

DVD-R is THE most compatible format for the widest range of machines. Use it. The end.

Claiming that the Macintosh is inferior to Windows because most people use Windows is like saying that all other restaurants are inferior to McDonald's.
