not sure if you can help but...
i am having trouble opening msword docs that i have sent from my home
imac by email to the computer at uni. Strangely, if i send a word doc
from uni to home it opens fine. So i think i must be doing something
wrong.
i am using a ruby imac g3 using osx (jaguar?). I have microsoft
office on the machine but it is os 9 version. The computer lets me use
the application with no worries and also lets me send the attachment
using Mail. But when i get to uni and open my uni webmail account the
attachment will not open.... in fact it no longer looks like a word
file.
I click on it and it tells me the file cannot be opened. I open word
and try to open it from there and it opens a page which shows lots of
squiggly lines and boxes.
At uni i can use either pc or emac but neither of them will open the
file.
any ideas?
