My former Ti was a real mess, all cracked up, broken hinges, 6 lines in the
screen, covered with duct tape, hard drive full...and the local repair shop
had to return it to me unfixed, after waiting 40 DAYS for a replacement
screen that it could not get. (They wanted $700 and Apple wanted
$1100-1300.)

So... I checked out the refurbished laptops on the Apple website and found
another 15-inch PB, completely working and updated, with a one-year
warranty. The cost was $1400 plus tax, about 34% cheaper than new ones. My
father agreed to buy it for Christmas/birthday, and it arrived three days
later.

It¹s the most beautiful thing I¹ve ever seen!!! and bigger, faster, with
backlit keys and newer software, and the Firewire transfer of everything
from my old Mac was automatic! Wow!

Anyway, I¹m just promoting the great deals of refurbished Macs on the Apple
Store website. I realize $1500 is not cheap, but it¹s damn good compared to
the cost of a new one.

Peace,
Brooke
