Don't throw anything away. It would be real annoying if you had to pay
good money for some part, like an optical drive or hard disk. I can't
find much information on the original RAM configuration of the iMac
G4.

I've got a copy of the 2nd edition, published this past summer, which
covers the G5 iMac, Mac Mini, G4 iBook, etc. The 1st edition covers
the earlier generations of FP iMacs.
