iMAC 333 MHz 192 MB Ram MAC OS 9.1 I tried install the 1.2 firmware update from :
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60384 http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1395 I followed the instructions on the link but I received a "The Document "iMAC_FirmwareUpdate_1.2.smi.bin" could not be opened because the application program that created it could not be found" error. The instructions says to "Double-click the iMac Firmware Updater icon to start the update." but I received the error message above. What am I missing (looks like the MAC OS 9.1 don't know what a .bin file is)? I need to install this firmware update to install MAC OS 10.3 and I'm not sure what firmware is installed now --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's iMac List, a group for those using G3, G4, G5, and Intel Core iMacs as well as Apple eMacs.
