For reliability at long distance, what about some kind of external drive RAID setup? (And making sure the disks have enough cooling.) Or am I opening a can of worms?
There's more than one kind of SSD. The more reliable kind seems to cost a lot more. But I'm not sure which kinds they use in drives as opposed to those USB sticks, which tend to use the less reliable kind. It might be a lot simpler in another year or two, when the technology matures more and prices go down. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's iMac List, a group for those using G3, G4, G5, and Intel Core iMacs as well as Apple eMacs.
