Troy The simple answer is yes. Your iMac will be able to connect to the net via ethernet no problems.
You say you have 9.2 - so that should be fine. I run 9.2.2 on my PowerBook and it connects to my router via ethernet no problem. You might need to go into the TCP/IP Control Panel and tell it to use Ethernet. Been a while since I set up an OS9 machine.
