"how legal"?   hum.  Magnitudes of Legality.  1 oz vs a whole pound!

The *retail* Mac OS X kits are transferrable.

The "restore" or included OS discs are bound to the original Mac with which they were shipped. They are not transferrable.

But there is a "gray" market in them... so slap on your eye patch... Everyone else sells them, so why not go for it. (woohoo! The lemming principle wins!) At this time, Apple doesn't seem to be interested in tracking down and suing the sellers for the license or DMCA violation. Of course if you offer the discs all at once, you might get their Attention, so...
