You can run Leopard on a 700Mhz emac by pass the 10.5 leopard install using leopard asist. 256MB of ram is steep for tiger and Leopard.
This mac runs smoothly on Mac os 9.2.2. I use mac os x 10.4 tiger and mac os 9.2.2 dual boot, single partition. I play old school classic mac games on it aswell. Allot of Open GL mac os 9 and carbon os x games work well on this emac 700.
